Balancing the Chakras with yoga poses & essential oils!

WHEN: Sunday, May 21st, 1-3 PM

INSTRUCTORS: Carol Reitter Elia & Sandy Baggot

WHAT: We will introduce practitioners to the world of our Chakra System by using yoga poses, pranayama & essential oils to enhance your experience in opening & cleansing your chakra system!

Chakra yoga uses yoga postures and controlled breath, known as pranayama, to cleanse, balance and open the chakras, or energy centers, of the body. Postures associated with hatha yoga are often adopted in chakra yoga because they're designed to keep the body aligned (or straight); namely, the spine -- which is the key highway for the flow of chakra energy. Yoga poses, or asanas, are a great way to cleanse & balance the chakra system. Not only does stretching and strengthening help benefit your physical health, but when used in conjunction with pranayama, it helps to bring new life (via oxygen) and balance to the chakras. We will take time to learn about essential oils. Adding essential oils to Chakra balancing yoga can help one's energetic systems find increased balance &homeostasis. In this workshop we will use a variety of therapeutic-grade essential oils, & balance the 7 chakras. Every participant will receive 1 sample for a specific chakra.
